Oh the wait was so worth it
Well, today is day one of college life. The parental unit and I drove late last night to get here, arriving at Kristi's around 1 am. This morning we - Mom, Dad, Kristi, Allie, Lincoln, and myself - made our way to the BYU campus and got me checked into my room. Everyone helped unpack me and label my kitchen stuff with smiley faces. The only thing left to do now is unpack my bathroom supplies. After getting me a signature card with a not half bad picture, we got lunch in the Cougar Eat (check me out with my student lingo skills) then headed to the bookstore. Allie got the shirt that I wanted, but it's not like I'm jealous or anything. I, too, got a shirt and will go back to the bookstore on occasion to see if they have the one I really really want in stock again. As mom paid for the shirts, Kristi, Lincoln, and I went to get my book list. I got the books for the classes that I'm absolutely sure I'll be in this semester save for one. It was a pallet item for my econ class, and as we went to get it, all we found was a huge hole in the pallet - all of that book was gone! But, thanks to Scotty and the BYU book exchange, I've already got one lined up and I'll get it tomorrow morning. Mom and Dad left soon after that. Now I'm home, and hungry, but a little intimidated by cooking for myself, so I'm eating a nectarine. Oh yeah, I made a trip to the Creamery with Kira. Unfortunately, I didn't some stuff that I should have because I was afraid to go over my limit or I just forgot since I left my list at home. In any case, I'm going to be going to a barbecue in about an hour anyways. With any luck, Cami and Bethany will be meeting me there. And so with that, I'm off. Later days. -Jana

These the Last Days
There are officially only four days of school left, three if you count the classes missing Thursday and Friday! I can't believe the entirety of my high school career is coming to an end. But of course, I've always found it funny that we're all so excited to be done with high school and yet many of us are still starting school in the fall. Speaking of...
For anyone who doesn't know, I am going down to BYU Provo contrary to some rumors going around (I have passed my stupid history class). I don't yet know who my roommates are (frightening since I'll be living with five complete strangers), but I know I'll be living in Fugue Hall of Heritage. I'll send out my address when I'm totally certain. This is all for now. Just thought I'd put up a short update post. Later -Jana

The First
Well, they say there's a first time for everything... and this is definitely my first ever blog. Expect awkwardness and random blurbs of strange. I'm back on the job after three terrible weeks of fighting off horrendous grades and catching up on what I think of as my techno class - I'm learning all sorts of brainy stuff! So, way to go me! And that's gonna be all for now. Later. -Jana
